Story                                       :
In an alternate time millions of years ago after the asteroids that caused the dinosaur extinction only through the earth lived the Apatosaurus family who were farmers. Henry (Jeffrey Wright) and Ida (Frances McDormand) have 3 Libby children (Maleah Padilla), Buck (Marcus Scribner), and dwarfest, Arlo (Raymond Ochoa, for the Indonesian version dubbed by Adam Farrel). When Libby and Buck easily adjusted and were responsible for their farming (closing them with mud, silos (corn storage)), the cowardly Arlo had a very difficult task accomplishing his farm. To give understanding in the purpose of life, Henry puts it clean keeping their silos free from pests and helps her form a trap. One day, this trap occurs a man from a cave man, but Arlo reluctantly kills him and leaves him. Disappointed, Henry forces Arlo to look for a boy near a cliff, at this time of heavy rain. After Arlo injures himself, Henry decides to return home when flash floods soon overwhelm. Henry only managed to save Arlo before he was washed away and killed  by the flood.
Without Henry, Arlo should help his mother (Ida) before winter. After finding the human child in the silos, Arlo reminds him with his wrath, they both fall into the river after Arlo's head hit a rock and he was unconscious. When conscious, Arlo is shocked away from home and endures with very little success. The mongoose boy gave some berries to eat and brought Arlo to the berry tree where they were attacked by the snake command, which the boy fought and held back. Arlo was impressed with the boy. The nearest Styracosaurus, Forrest Woodbush (Peter Sohn), was also impressed with the caveboy's physical prowess, trying to call him by his name, but he was just the color of Arlo, who was riding "Spot." After traveling together for the rest of the day, Arlo regrets the missing family, and the confession at Spot, which opens and speaks for itself. They slept together that night. The next day, a storm breaks through the ground, and Arlo, waiting for a life-giving storm, runs for his own safety.
The next morning, Arlo wakes up to find Spot, only to meet a pterodactyl fanatical band led by Thunderclap (Steve Zahn). Pterodactyl turns into a cruel carnivore, and once they find Spot, they both ride on their own before experiencing. Tyrannosaurus, Nash (A. J. Buckley) and Ramsey (Anna Paquin), who went in to kill pterodactyl. Arlo and Spot later meet Nash's father and Ramsey, Butch (Sam Elliot), who agree they both join their party if they can help them find the bison flock they have done. Spot sniffed him, with Arlo finding "Rustlers." On Butch's orders, Arlo pulls the Rustlers out, which is revealed to be a Velociraptor group that wants to steal the Butch herd. Butch and the boys tried to fend off the Rustlers, Arlo managed to attack them both, Husch humiliating them for good. With Butch, Nash, and Ramsey now highly respected by Arlo, he helped them toward their homeland. Along the way, Arlo and Spot meet with people from a distance, but looks and so on.
As other storms begin to rise, Thunderclap and pterodactyl return and joint assaults, this time manages to take the place and smell of Arlo. When Arlo is entangled in some vines, he has a view of Henry who is traveling and returns home, but Arlo spends his love on Spot and the decision to save him, which is made to grow again before he disappears. Filled with determination, Arlo attacked the pterodactyl that had cornered Spot on the river, and they both managed to creep them into the air where they rode endlessly downstream. A flash flood begins, and landslides fall into the river and. Arlo jumps up to save Spot and gets carried away to the waterfall. Arlo managed to swim to Spot and hold on when WIB fell, with Arlo bringing Spot to the beach where she regained consciousness.
As they stepped back, Arlo and Spot were both cavernous humans as they passed the hills on Arlo's farm. Reluctantly, Arlo Tell Spot to come back with them and they both share congratulations, but lovingly. Arlo goes home to his mother and siblings, and he's caught in the mud between the silos.
Review                                    :
The simple story is not a big deal, but it's a problem when it comes to the Pixar brand that has a great history of presenting something unique in every release. Pixar has produced a future love-robot love story in WALL-E, so it's in the elite restaurant in Ratatouille, the superhero family of The Incredibles, and manifesting human emotion in the form of a colorful character in Inside Out.
Compared to his predecessors, as Arlo put it, Dinosaur Good was a bit dwarfed in terms of originality. Not to mention a lot of fables dinosaurs in the form of animation ever raised Hollywood, call it The Land Before Time, or even Disney's Dinosaur. Dodol, Good Dinosaurs seem to be just followers with more advanced technology.
However, on the other hand, Dinosaur Good is a movie that is very easy to enjoy and understand. The simplicity of the story for the audience need not be busy interpreting the contemplation or meaning of philosophical tone that is often inserted in Pixar films. Just sit, look, and feel the story of adventure, friendship, and family of the story of this movie. The story is quite melancholy and not lively, but still can attract attention through bright characterization and some humor here and there.
One more thing that makes this movie worth a look is the high-class audio visual. Undoubtedly, no doubt, undoubtedly in this Dynamics, Pixar went so far as to structuring a beautiful picture. The design of the characters is like "cartoons" and colorful, but they are placed in a natural environment created with photorealitis, waking up a natural landscape. Accompanied with the magnificent music of Mychael Danna and Jeff Danna, this movie was overall so much more comfortable witnessed.
On the border, The Good Dinosaur is a simple, luxury-packed movie, and it's fun to follow. The film is also still able to load the values that deeply touched the audience. Only, this film may be less able to meet the expectations that are too high on Pixar films are usually more unique and impressive from The Good Dinosaur this.

Pixar is not just an animation studio, it's a brand. Interesting concept, entertaining execution, and depth of story, almost always be presented by the films from the studio under the auspices of this Disney. Just half a year ago, Pixar released the Inside Out movie that presents a complex concept of human psychology with colorful visuals. Now, again present the movie The Good Dinosaur, which is practically somewhat the opposite of Inside Out. You see, the film directed Peter Sohn is actually presenting a very simple story.
The Good Dinosaur begins with a supposition, what if dinosaurs did not become extinct and remained inhabiting the earth for millions of years, until it could live a single age with the human species. The film also continues the supposition with quite interesting and funny. That the dinosaurs evolved to produce their own food, whether in farming-including plowing the land in a straight line, raising, and making their own homes, without having to change its anatomy as a dinosaur.
Not even the extinction of dinosaurs made the earth rich in interesting species. Starting from the forerunner species of poultry and modern mammals, small and gigantic insects, and of course, humans. Given The Good Dinosaur takes the perspective of the 'civilized' dinosaurs, humans are also considered wild creatures who can not speak-because they are still primitive.

The Good Dinosaur itself focuses on a family of apatosaurus-type herbivorous dinosaurs. The family consisted of Henry the father (Jeffrey Wright's voice), Ida the mother (Frances McDormand), Libby's eldest son (Maleah Padilla), middle child Buck (Marcus Scribner), and youngest Arlo (Raymond Ochoa). Not only from the birth order, Arlo is also the smallest in terms of body size and guts in his family. As a result, he is the only one who has not been allowed to brand his legs in the family barn.
One time Arlo tried to test his courage in keeping the food supply in the family barn, which is often stolen by wild creatures. Cowardly base, Arlo panic when faced directly with a small man who stole his food. Due to his carelessness, Arlo was dragged in a swift river, far from his home. Arlo then had to find a way to get home, which meant he started to be even bolder in the face of everything in the wild. He was not alone, because slowly he actually made a friendship with the little man he met, which was then named Spot (Jack Bright).

Can be seen alone, The Good Dinosaur story is very simple, when compared with all the complexity ever displayed on Inside Out, for example. From here it is like the impression that this time Pixar is 'playing safe' with the preparation of the story of maturity and self-discovery that has often been raised in Disney movies, even including Pixar own movie, let's call Finding Nemo. There is no surprise from the story, for it is only about Arlo's journey to return home, the growing friendship of different species, and the encounter with various interesting characters on the journey.
